Your HOA at Work

As part of Ladera Ranch Maintenance Corporation's (LARMAC) mission to maintain Ladera as one of Orange County’s premier master-planned communities, which includes amenities, parks and facilities, and landscaping, LARMAC has been updating the four clubhouses at Covenant Hills, Oak Knoll, Avendale and Flintridge.

Currently, LARMAC is in the process of renovating the grounds at the Covenant Hills Village Clubhouse. These improvements include the expansion of the outdoor patio space, replacement of the turfgrass, addition of tree-lined walkways, a fire pit with a sitting area with new furnishings, a Bocce ball court, and a lemon tree grove. Additionally, the kitchen will be refurbished, new outdoor gas grills installed, and exterior mood lighting added.

The clubhouse renovation is unique in that the project elements were based on feedback residents provided through a Facilities and Amenities Survey LARMAC published in 2020. The purpose of the survey was to understand the current use of the facilities and amenities throughout Ladera Ranch and to gauge resident interest in a variety of proposed improvements to meet the changing needs and wants of the community. Resident feedback revealed a desire for a resort-like outdoor space that would accommodate large-scale celebrations for events such as family reunions, weddings, graduations, etc. As part of the renovation project, staff and LARMAC Board members visited surrounding communities such as Rancho Mission Viejo and The Great Park in Irvine to consider the design and facility rental options.  

Improvements:

• Increased outdoor patio by 2000 sq. ft.

• (2) BBQ gas grills

• Bocce court

• Gas fire pit and lounge area

• Citrus grove, arbutus and olive tree-lined pathways

• Exterior mood lighting

• Refurbished full-service kitchen

The renovation is expected to be completed in March of 2022. Residents may consider renting the clubhouse which includes the outdoor space for their next private event. When not being used for an event, residents are welcome to enjoy the outdoor amenities such as bocce ball, relaxing by the fire pit, or strolling the grounds that encompass tree-lined walkways.

New full-day rental options and pricing were adopted at the January 12, 2022 board meeting and will be effective as of March 1, 2022. They include the following:

Reservation Option 1
Clubhouse, Courtyard and Patio

• Great room
• Full-service kitchen
• Courtyard with fountain
• (2) BBQ gas grills
• Outdoor patio area

Rental Fee:
Monday to Thursday: $250
Friday to Sunday:       $750

Reservation Option 2
Clubhouse, Courtyard, Patios, and Outdoor Recreation Area

Includes all amenities listed in option 1, plus:

• Open grass area including walkways, lemon tree grove
• Firepit and lounge area
• Bocce ball court (not exclusive)

Monday to Thursday: $750
Friday to Sunday:       $1,200

Other Clubhouse Rental Options
Residents looking to rent a clubhouse for less than a full day (12-hour period) and at a lower rate may reserve the Oak Knoll Village, Avendale Village, or Flintridge Village Clubhouses, which are available for 3- or 6-hour periods. There were no changes to the rental fee structure for these clubhouses.
