On October 7th, Ladera Ranch Maintenance Corporation (LARMAC) started a Pool Resurfacing Project which will include six bodies of water – pools and plunges – at four locations: Oak Knoll Village Clubhouse (Recreation Pool and Lap Pool), Avendale Village ClubhouseTownship Plunge (2) and Canterra Plunge.

Michael Healy, Capital and Reserve Project Manager for LARMAC (Ladera Ranch Maintenance Corporation) said that the project will replace the pool plaster with a pebble finish which will increase the lifespan of the pool. Typically commercial pool plaster lasts 5 to 10 years. By adding a pebble aggregate, the lifespan of the surface is expected to be doubled.

In addition to the pebble finish having a premium look and feel, it will also be easier to maintain since the pebbles aren’t as prone to stain. The new surfaces will be similar to that of Terramor Aquatic Park, also known as Red Bucket Park.
