LARMAC to Test Irrigation System Following Rainy Season

After receiving over 18" of rain this past winter (about 13" in 2024), the master irrigation system has been shut down for nearly four (4) consecutive months.

With most of the rain behind us, LARMAC must begin preparing the system for full operation in the coming weeks. This process involves the irrigation team opening up valves and running irrigation during the day.

After four (4) months of dormancy, breaks can occur as the main lines fill up with water and air is released, which is why we start running the irrigation during the day. This allows the irrigation team to monitor the system to identify breaks as they happen and then make necessary repairs. This will be an ongoing process for a few weeks before the system is back to being fully operational, with irrigation occurring at night.

With over 170,000 sprinkler heads and about 590 miles of irrigation pipe in the community, LARMAC greatly appreciates residents who report irrigation breaks as observed in real-time. You can report an irrigation issue using the maintenance request form on LaderaLife.com or send LARMAC an email at contact.larmac@laderalife.com. Providing LARMAC with the location and a photo is very helpful for the irrigation team to locate the issue.
