Celebrating July 4 and Ladera Volunteers

Resident volunteers make events like the July 4th Celebration possible. LARCS invites residents to share their feedback in a 10-question survey which takes approximately two minutes to complete.

Ladera Ranch's events like the July 4th Celebration are possible, thanks to the countless hours that residents invest in their community through volunteering their time and talents.

Planning large-scale community events takes a year and is led by the Ladera Ranch Community Services (LARCS) Event Planning Committee and Board of Directors. Together they work with the Ladera Ranch Maintenance Corporation (LARMAC) to oversee the use of parks and review permits. Dozens of teen and adult volunteers, known as Ranch Hands, complement the efforts and hard work of the EPC and LARCS Board. Ranch Hands volunteers set up booths, decorate, and serve as judges for the Community Parade and the Cupcake Contest.

Deborah C., a Ladera Ranch resident, shared, "The 4th of July event was a blast! Ladera did a wonderful job keeping everything organized with all the activities, games, food, and music! It was easy to walk around and get to the sitting area. The band, Undercover, was excellent, keeping everyone entertained. Great job to everyone who took their time to make this event spectacular."

As is customary, taking time to debrief after each event is an essential part of each event. LARCS and LARMAC are in the early stages of debriefing the July 4th event. This involves staff, board members, volunteers, security personnel, Orange County Sheriff's Department, and Orange County Fire Authority. These debriefs will be crucial in helping us better understand any issues, allowing the stakeholder organizations to identify changes and improvements that can be implemented as we plan for next year's event.

Resident survey for those who attended July 4th Celebration
Ladera Ranch Community Services seeks resident feedback from those who attended the July 4th Celebration at Founders Park to evaluate signature events. The survey takes a few minutes to complete and provides LARCS insight into residents' experiences and an opportunity for residents to share their feedback.

The 10-question survey will take approximately two minutes to complete.

Community gratitude
LARCS, LARMAC, and the community appreciate our resident volunteers' generous efforts and time. We celebrate you and, of course, our freedom.
