Summer Concerts Kick Start the Weekend

Ladera Ranch's summer concerts offer residents a fun way to start each weekend. The first concert of the season was a little quiet at first but ended with energy, dancing, and anticipation for the next one.

Ladera Ranch Community Services (LARCS) got the summer concert series off to a great start with 4X4, playing high-energy classic rock with well-known hits by Boston, Styxx, REO Speedwagon, and Journey. The band was engaging and kicked off the season with an evening filled with lighthearted fun and anticipation of the weekend, which was just getting started.

LARCS' Event Manager, Joanne Kopeny, welcomed the crowd and introduced the participating Ladera businesses for the first-Business Expo organized by the Ladera Rancho Chamber of Commerce

The crowd was light earlier in the evening but steadily grew as folks got home from work, and the band hit the stage. Some residents who had set out their blankets and chairs earlier that morning sent text messages to their neighbors and reminded them that the band started at 6:00 p.m.

Town Green was a perfect location for attendees who ordered dinner from restaurants across the street in Mercantile West, One couple had reservations at Rancho Capistrano Winery and enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant while the backdrop of summer fun happening a short distance from their patio table.

As always, community safety was a top priority at the event, Orange County Sheriffs and event security staff, who were present, reported that attendees were respectful and considerate towards each other. Attendees understood that guidelines that declare the event a dog-free and bike-free zone have residents' safety in mind.

The LARCS booth was a popular stop for residents who wanted to stock up on Ladera Ranch-branded items such as sunglasses, mouse pads, pens, cups, and stickers. Residents who rocked the LaderaLife sunglasses and the dance area seemed to have the most fun.

The LARCS Event Planning Committee and LARCS Board thank everyone who came out to enjoy a perfect evening. Special thanks to resident volunteers who make our events possible and to our local businesses.
