R&W: What brought you to the Front Street business district?

Ron: I came across these homes being built in 2003 and thought it was a great idea. It reminded me of the old small town

businesses on Main St. in so many cities across the U.S. where the owners lived above their shops.

	R&W: What inspires you?

Ron: I’m inspired by my late father, who always lived by the credo, "Any job you do, is a job worth doing well.” He was a small business owner and worked with honesty and integrity. That’s the way I run my business.

R&W: What makes this business district neighborhood unique?

Kim: Front Street is unique because it is our hometown as well as our neighborhood.

R&W: What inspires or motivates you in your business and life?

Kim: I’ve always loved working with children and being able to use my passion for art – moving to Ladera allowed me to combine the two. Support from my family make it easier to balance my family and work life.
Jeannette Currie, also original owner of one of Front Street’s 22 live/work units and proprietor of Front Street Salon (founded in 2003) is proud of her recently remodeled salon that includes new stations, artwork and décor.
