Join us for a full day of pickleball competition at the Avendale Pickleball Courts featuring three skill divisions: 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0. Teams will compete in round-robin pool play, giving everyone multiple opportunities to play, with the top teams in each division advancing to the playoffs.
Team fee covers refreshments and lunch.
Tournament Divisions
- 3.0 (Advanced Beginner): Hits medium-paced shots and sustains longer rallies. Developing a consistent serve and deep return. Starting to attempt third-shot drops and dinks, but with limited success and consistency.
- 3.5 (Intermediate): Consistently hits with depth and control. Recognizes attackable balls, mixes soft shots with power shots, and demonstrates solid court positioning and communication with their doubles partner.
- 4.0 (Advanced Intermediate): High level of consistency on both forehands and backhands. Uses depth, pace, and spin to force opponent errors, and exhibits patience and strategy during non-volley zone (kitchen) dink battles.
Each team must consist of one male and one female player, and both players must register together as a team in the division that best represents their playing level. You do not need a DUPR to participate.
Tournament Format
Each team is guaranteed a minimum of three matches during pool play. Following pool play, the top-performing teams in each division will advance to the playoff round and compete for the division championship.
Pool-play games will be played to 11, win by 2. Tournament format and scoring may be adjusted based on final registration.
Event Details
Space is limited. Only one registration is needed per team; the registering player will provide information for both players.
We will email specific division start times, check-in information, and tournament details to registered teams before the event.
What if it rains? We will reschedule the tournament. There will be no refunds.
