While there is much to be desired in the larger successes of life, there is also something incredibly fulfilling in experiencing the smaller joys this world has to offer. Gardening is one such interest that explores the nature of patience and reward.
Some may consider gardening time-consuming with little recompense, but it has many benefits. Spending time in a room with houseplants can better your mood, and studies have shown that cultivating plants outdoors is an excellent source of exercise and happiness.
Through hard work and dedication, one can foster nature that blooms into soothing beauty or delicious vegetation that can be used for healthy meals. Raising plants can also tie into a larger goal, one of taking care of nature and the Earth that we inhabit.
By giving back and inspiring others to do the same through cultivation, we can help to leave our planet in a better state than we left it. Ladera’s own Community Gardens are a perfect example of a neighborhood coming together to bring out the joy and brightness of flora. As springtime is fast approaching, now is the perfect time to start your venture into the brilliant world that is gardening!
