Scholarship Opportunities for Ladera Teens

Ladera Ranch Community Services is proud to offer scholarship opportunities for teen residents who will be attending a college, university, trade school, or junior college (excluding Saddleback College) in the fall of 2024.

This scholarship is designed to recognize outstanding Ladera Ranch teens who have demonstrated a commitment to the community through volunteerism and who have been accepted at a four-year college or university, local trade school, or junior college. The number of scholarships awarded and the amount per scholarship may vary based on the number of qualified applicants annually.

Students enrolling at Saddleback College were able to apply for the Ladera Ranch Community Services Scholarship directly through Saddleback College for the fall of 2024.

Scholarships will be offered to teens who meet the criteria below and are selected from the qualified applicant pool.




Scholarship Criteria

  • Must be a current Ladera Ranch resident
  • Minimum of 15 volunteer hours over the previous year supporting Ladera Ranch Community Services, Teen Leadership Council projects, and/or support of local Ladera Ranch non-profit organizations (i.e. Lion’s Heart, Scouts, etc.). Students may be asked to provide a form verifying volunteer hours worked
  • Acceptance at a college, university, local trade school, or junior college (not to include Saddleback College) for the fall of 2024. 
  • 3.0+ High School GPA
  • Demonstrate good character via three letters of recommendation

     a. Academic (Teacher, Counselor, etc.)

     b. Personal (non-family)

     c. Extracurricular (church, coach, music/band, scouts, etc.)

Application Process

  • Apply on LaderaLife.com from Monday, February 26 through 5:00 p.m. Friday, May 17
  • LARCS Scholarship Committee will review applications and select winners
  • Candidates may be invited to meet with the Scholarship Committee as part of the selection process
  • Scholarship recipients will be formally announced by the first week of July

Scholarship Award Process

  • Student recipients will be contacted by the first week of July 
  • LARCS will contact the bursar’s office to arrange for payment of the scholarship directly to the bursar for the student
  • Scholarship funds will be restricted for use toward the student’s academic and/or tuition account
