Community Update: Advisory Committee Holds First Meeting

Dear Ladera Ranch Residents,

We want to share an update following the first meeting of the Ad Hoc Advisory Committee established by the LARMAC Board of Directors to review the Association's Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program.

The committee, comprised of community members and two Board members, met on July 23 to establish its purpose, review the Association's current IPM program and begin discussing potential recommendations. LARMAC staff and legal counsel were present to provide information and support the committee's discussion.

Committee members expressed a shared long-term vision of reducing reliance on synthetic pesticides through a thoughtful, phased transition toward organic and cultural landscape maintenance practices where practical. The committee also discussed ways to strengthen resident communication and transparency throughout the review process.

Over the coming weeks, the committee will continue evaluating the current program and developing practical, phased recommendations for consideration by the Board of Directors at its September open session meeting.

We thank the committee members for volunteering their time and the many residents who continue to engage thoughtfully throughout this process. LARMAC remains committed to keeping the community informed as the committee's work continues.

Sincerely,
Ladera Ranch Maintenance Corporation
