This month, Ladera Ranch residents collected Care Packages for deployed Marines of the 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion (1ST LAR).

Thank you to the residents that responded to the project that the newly formed Ladera Ranch Community Services (LARCS) Community Outreach Committee helped coordinate. The community clearly put a great deal of thought and care in to creating the packages which included snacks, personal care products, and handwritten thank you notes. Residents including children of Daisy Troop 6585 and OC Surf Soccer team generously packed each of the boxes and LARCS paid the postage to deliver 57 care packages to our deployed Marines.

"The care packages will help provide comfort, general necessity, and hopefully a little feeling of home to our Marines.” said George Blair, LARCS Community Lifestyle Director.
