Ladera Ranch Community Services’ (LARCS) is distributing boxes to Ladera Ranch residents in hopes that they will be returned as Care Packages. The campaign to collect Care Packages is organized by the LARCS Community Outreach Committee for deployed Marines of the 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion.

Reconnaissance Battalion. The care packages will help provide comfort, general
necessity, and hopefully a little feeling of home to our Marines.
To participate
Pick up a box at the Oak Knoll Village Clubhouse

Monday through Friday
9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Return it filled with any of the items listed below.
Return Care Package
- Return Care Package unsealed
- Drop off at Oak Knoll Village Clubhouse
- Last day for drop off: Friday, October 5.

TOILETRIES:
(Avoid sending toiletries with aerosol or pump-style
dispensers. For many Marines, travel-size toiletries or smaller containers are
preferred for storage and easy portability.)

- Blistex, Chapstick, Vaseline, Carmex
- Aspirin, Motrin, Tylenol, Pain Relievers
- Q-tips
- Boot liners/insoles
- Lotrimin AF or other anti-fungal creams for
athlete's foot
- Foot Powder
- Moleskin

Please send non-perishable foods only. Send
small containers of items. Large packages won't stay fresh and are harder to
ship. If you can stuff it in your pocket and it's not going to spoil or MELT,
it's a good thing to send!
- Coffee, hot cocoa mix, coffee mixes, tea
- Lemonade mix, Koolaid mix, Tang mix, Gatorade
mix (pre-sweetened)
- Gum, Lifesavers, Mints
- Nuts, sunflower seeds, peanuts, trail mix
- Power bars, protein bars, nutritional bars
- Beef jerky (non-perishable; labeled USDA Beef)
