In the neighborhood contest, Sterling Glen 2 used Facebook and Instagram to encourage residents to share photos taken while visiting Shively Road using #shivelyladera. Most of the neighborhoods who entered the contest had a theme which was carried throughout their neighborhood. In Claiborne each house had wooden Christmas trees out front, in Sarasota 1 each house had a candy cane with their family name on it. Other neighborhoods incorporated wooden gingerbread men, snowmen and a 12 days of Christmas theme.

Joanne Kopeny, LARCS Events and Programs Manager for LARCS thanked everyone who took the time to decorate their homes and neighborhoods, and also everyone who took the time to vote online. On behalf of LARCS Board and Staff, we hope that everyone enjoyed the holiday events and activities, and wish everyone a Happy 2018!
