Congratulations to the winners of the 2017 Ladera Ranch
Community Services (LARCS) Holiday Decorating Contest. Thirty-five individual
home entries and nine neighborhoods entered Ladera’s most festive competition
of the year.
Ladera Ranch residents voted online at LaderaLife.com for
their favorite individually decorated homes, for which there were nine (9)
categories. Neighborhoods were judged on December 9th by a group who
volunteer through Ranch Hands, Ladera’s volunteer organization. Neighborhoods

In the neighborhood contest, Sterling Glen 2 used Facebook
and Instagram to encourage residents to share photos taken while visiting
Shively Road using #shivelyladera. Most of the neighborhoods who entered the
contest had a theme which was carried throughout their neighborhood. In
Claiborne each house had wooden Christmas trees out front, in Sarasota 1 each
house had a candy cane with their family name on it. Other neighborhoods
incorporated wooden gingerbread men, snowmen and a 12 days of Christmas theme.
Joanne Kopeny, LARCS Events and Programs Manager for LARCS
thanked everyone who took the time to decorate their homes and neighborhoods,
and also everyone who took the time to vote online. On behalf of LARCS Board
and Staff, we hope that everyone enjoyed the holiday events and activities, and
wish everyone a Happy 2018!
