Teens in Ladera

A sense of community unity can be quantified through the strength of the bonds between its members. One of the many ways these ties are forged is through shared traditions. In our 23-year-old community, Ladera Ranch has developed dozens of occasions for its residents to enjoy, from teen-organized movie nights to holiday celebrations like the tree lighting ceremony at Town Green and the grand firework display at the July Fourth Celebration. For many families, the weekly Ladera Ranch Farmers Market has steadily become a tradition. Each Sunday morning around Founder’s Park at the corner of Daisy and Avendale, community members and vendors set up tents, stalls, and food trucks for an anticipated crowd eager to savor organic coffee, freshly baked goods, fresh fruits and vegetables, healthy energy drinks, and unique handmade crafts. 

The Ladera Ranch Farmers Market is open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. In those four short hours, an otherwise quiet corner of the community comes alive with lines of eager customers forming as early as 8:30 a.m. Some know that the esteemed baked goods and products can run out early. During the event, residents have the opportunity to bond with friends, catch up with neighbors, and reconnect with old acquaintances as they check out new vendors or wait in lines. It has grown over the years to become a weekly welcoming event. If you haven’t been to our local Farmers Market, stop by to enjoy a relaxing Sunday morning, but be warned, it can quickly become a weekly, blissful habit for pastries, coffee, or blended fruit drinks. It’s a tradition that's being created right before our eyes – and with everyone’s support, hopefully, it will be so for many years to come.
