The two mixed-use courts at the Avendale Village Clubhouse will undergo changes to dedicate one court to tennis and the other to pickleball.
As the master homeowner association for the community, Ladera Ranch Maintenance Corporation (LARMAC) works to maintain Ladera Ranch as a premier master-planned community. This includes updating amenities that are due to be refreshed and updated. LARMAC manages reserve funds – funds put aside each year to repair, maintain, or replace amenities, as they come to the end of their anticipated "useful life." The courts at the Avendale Village Clubhouse have reached the end of their “useful life,” and this summer, LARMAC will resurface the courts.
The two mixed-use courts at the Clubhouse will undergo changes to dedicate one court to tennis and the other to pickleball. Beginning Monday, June 5, LARMAC has scheduled the courts to be resurfaced.
Temporary Closure
The courts will be closed from Monday, June 5 through Monday, June 12, while the courts are resurfaced, providing the proper amount of time for the paint to cure and be ready for play.
Court #1: Tennis
The court, known as Avendale Court #1, will be dedicated to tennis play only and renamed Avendale Tennis Court.
Court #2: Pickleball
The court known as Avendale Court #2 will be transformed into two pickleball courts that will run north/south. The pickleball courts will be renamed Pickleball Court #1 and Pickleball Court #2.
LARMAC looks forward to reopening the courts to residents for tennis and pickleball play.
New pickleball courts are in the works
The court resurfacing project at the Avendale Village Clubhouse is separate from the addition of four pickleball courts. The project to add four pickleball courts is moving along. LARMAC is currently working with the County of Orange to obtain the proper permits for the construction and modification of the area. The process is slow and has taken more time than expected; however, LARMAC is working diligently to ensure the process moves as quickly as possible. We are as eager as our residents to begin the construction of the courts, which will bring the total number of courts to six.
