Welcome to Springtime in Ladera Ranch!

Chase Fitzpatrick, President Ladera Ranch Maintenance Corporation, and Greg Sink, President, Ladera Ranch Community Services share some new things to come in the months ahead.

As we start a new year and a new season, there is much to anticipate and look forward to. It’s exciting to see the addition of new businesses in our shopping centers and to celebrate the first-year anniversaries of Joe’s, Rancho Capistrano Winery, Board & Brew, and others. Our residents continue to support our restaurants, fitness, and other businesses enthusiastically.

Volunteer Recognition Awards
Each spring, we ask you to nominate your neighbors or friends for the Volunteer Awards. This is a time to recognize and thank those who make a difference in our community. This year’s recipients will be treated to a fun, catered celebration and presented with an award as a token of our appreciation. Please take a few moments to nominate someone today.

Community Survey
Thank you to those of you who completed the Resident Survey. The LARMAC and LARCS Boards and staff reviewed your feedback and comments. Your responses were insightful and allowed us to continue to improve our service and focus our efforts. To encourage participation in the survey, respondents were entered to win a saved spot at the July 4th Celebration and a prize package from Cox and zpizza Ladera.

Your HOA at Work
LARMAC completed the latest phase of the playground replacement project, which included Cherry, Boreal, Canterra, Celestial Plunge, Founders, Arroyo, Oso Grande Park, and Flintridge Village Clubhouse. The funding for these budgeted projects came from reserves put aside each month to replace or maintain amenities. The new playgrounds are colorful and encourage creative and imaginative play.

This summer, extensive maintenance of our sports fields, such as Founders Park, will be completed. Given the heavy, year-round use that the sports fields experience, as well as the extreme heat and drought conditions seen in recent years, the aeration, reseeding, and conditioning of the fields, will take longer than usual. You can watch for updates in the months ahead.

We hope you enjoy this issue of Roots and Wings magazine, which includes our spring events and a tear-out resource for the upcoming Community Garage Sale and Go Green Ladera, the convenient drive-thru recycling and donation event to be held on April 22.
