The New Homeowner Welcome Reception was a wonderful opportunity for residents who are new to the community to meet others who have also recently moved to Ladera Ranch. The reception took place on the extended patio and recreation area to the side of the Oak Knoll Village Clubhouse.
Attendees enjoyed the music of a guitar/piano singing duo, had fun making crafts with members of Girl Scout Troop 3560, making s'mores with The Adventure Guides (Ladera Expeditions), and enjoyed delicious specialty pizza and salads from zPizza Ladera Ranch and wine and beer provided by LARMAC and served by Todd Stearns, President, Ladera Rancho Chamber of Commerce.
Families in attendance had moved from Huntington Beach, Irvine, Santa Clarita, Lake Forest, Carona Del Mar, Playa Del Rey, Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Aliso Viejo, San Juan Capistrano, Manhattan Beach, Los Gatos, Rancho Palos Verdes, Los Gatos and Miami, Florida, There were also families who had moved within Ladera Ranch.
Ladera Ranch Maintenance Corporation (LARMAC) staff members and Ladera Ranch Community Services (LARCS) staff members as well as LARCS President, Armando Rutledge welcomed new families and had the opportunity to answer questions and discuss exciting new developments in the community which includes the return to in-person events and the re-introduction of the Ladera Landscape Awards where residents can nominate themselves and their neighbors for their efforts in maintaining beautiful home landscapes.
Community Partner, Cox Communications provided two beautiful gift baskets and another one was provided by Community Partner, Ladera Family, and Sports Chiropractic, all of which were a big hit with attendees. There were other raffles prized that created excitement which included Ladera Ranch branded items. Each family received a bag with helpful information about the community (community map, welcome kit, champagne, and goodies from NuAge Spa in Ladera Ranch, Roots and Wings magazine, Shop and Dine (booklet of coupons to local businesses), Ladera Ranch-branded sunglasses and mouse pads, and more.
