Get ready to showcase your creativity at the Harvest Festival! Join us at Founders Park on Saturday, October 19, for our Pumpkin Decorating Contest. Here’s everything you need to know:
How to Participate:
- Pre-Registration: Sign up at LaderaLife.com by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16. Note: Participants must be Ladera Ranch residents.
- Entry Limit: One pumpkin per resident, please.
- Submission: Bring your decorated pumpkin to the Judging Area by 11:45 a.m. on October 19.
- Decoration Rules: Pumpkins should be carved or decorated. Please avoid using electrical devices, candles, or dry ice.
- Size Limit: Pumpkins must be no larger than 20” x 20” x 20”
- Materials: You can pin, glue, draw, paint, or carve your pumpkin. Get creative!
Important Notes:
- Pickup: All pumpkins must be collected by 4:00 p.m. Unclaimed pumpkins will be disposed of.
- Publication: Winning entries and names may be featured in Roots and Wings Magazine, Ladera Happenings, and LaderaLife.com.
- Voting: Attendees will cast their votes from 12:00-3:00 p.m.
- Prizes: Exciting prizes await the winners in each category!
Categories:
Classic Carving: Traditional pumpkin with classic face designs or intricate patterns.
Painted Pumpkins: Pumpkins painted with detailed designs or scenes.
Kids’ Creations: A category for children’s decorated pumpkins. For ages 3 to 13 years old.
Most Original: Pumpkins with unique or unconventional decorating methods.
