July 4th Celebration











Known for one of the best fireworks displays in South Orange County, LARCS will present a fun-filled day of activities.

9:30 a.m. -  1K Kids' Firecracker Dash
10:30 a.m. -  Community Parade
4:00 - 8:00 p.m. -  Games & Activities 
4:45 - 5:45 p.m. - Cupcake Bake-Off
4:00 - 9:00 p.m. -  Food Trucks
5:00 - 8:00 p.m. - Teen Zone (Free, Grades 6 - 12)
6:00 - 9:00 p.m. -  Concert (Undercover - Top 40)

Bikes, E-Bikes, and Electric Vehicles: Bicycles, E-Bikes, and Electric Vehicles are not allowed within the event area or on closed streets. This is a designated bike-free event. Bike racks will be available in front of the Ladera Ranch Elementary and Middle Schools. Bikes must be removed from temporary bike racks by 10:00 p.m.

Handicap Parking is located in the north Avendale Clubhouse Parking Lot.  Must enter the road closure area at the Daisy/Dorrance/Sienna Pkwy roundabout and must present a handicap placard to the attendant.  Arrive early, as parking is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

CHILDREN'S ACTIVITY WRISTBANDS
Activity wristbands are only required for children who participate in the activities. 

Activities: Euro Bungee, Inflatable Slide, Giant Slide (42" or taller), the Wizzer (42" or taller), Carnival Games, Rock Wall (42" or taller, min weight 45 lbs, max weight 225 lbs, & closed-toed shoes), Airbrush Artists, Caricature Artists, Face Painters, the Orbitron (42" or taller), Zip Line (min weight 60 lbs, max weight 250 lbs) and Race Game Trailer. Depending on the number of people in line, some activities may close at 7:00 p.m.

Activity Wristbands are available for pre-purchase for $10 beginning Monday, June 3, through 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 26. Wristbands purchased at the event will be $18. (Credit Card Only; this is a cashless event).

Pre-purchased wristbands can be picked up at the Oak Knoll Village Clubhouse on Thursday, June 27, and Friday, June 28, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. No wristband pick-up is available Monday, July 1, through Wednesday, July 3. If you cannot make it to the clubhouse, wristbands will be available for pick-up at the Ticket Booth beginning at 3:45 p.m. on July 4. Most importantly, please bring a copy of your receipt with you. 

All wristbands are non-refundable, with no exceptions. Individual tickets will also be available for $1 at the Ticket Booth (Credit Card Only; this is a cashless event) 

Please note: The school blacktop will close at 8:00 p.m. Pedestrian traffic; please use Sellas North or Daisy Street.

Event Guidelines

PROHIBITED ITEMS AND ACTIVITIES

  • Bicycles are not allowed within the event area or on closed streets. This is a designated bike-free event.
  • Blankets/tents or personal items prior to 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 4.
  • Use of rope, tape, or fencing of any kind to reserve personal space.  Stakes longer than six (6) inches to secure pop-up tents.  Items will be removed or taken down by security.
  • Plastic tarps on the grass.  Items will be removed and discarded by security.
  • Pets, with the exception of registered assistance dogs.  All other owners with animals will be asked to leave the event.
  • Loitering in or around school-owned property.
  • Model aircraft or drones with or without photographic equipment.
  • Glass bottles/containers.
  • Barbecue grills/open flames of any kind.  This includes the barbecues in the picnic shelter.
  • Electric or motorized vehicles/bikes in Founders Park, on school property, or on closed streets surrounding Founders Park.  Bikes must be walked into the event area.
  • Use of personal fireworks.
  • Selling products/food/drinks or business advertisements without LARCS' permission.
  • Sale of alcoholic beverages.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

  • An adult must accompany children under the age of 12 at all times.
  • Bikes must be removed from the temporary bikes racks no later than 10:00 p.m.
  • Gates from the school parking lots will remain closed. Pedestrian traffic please use Sellas North or Daisy Street.
  • The school blacktop will close at 8:00 p.m.  We kindly ask that you follow all directions given by the security team and make your way off the blacktop to your seats for the fireworks show. 
  • Security or OCSD may remove any person at any time if deemed a danger, threat, or hazard.
  • No picnic shelter reservations on Monday, July 3, and Tuesday, July 4.
  • Tents/Pop-ups must come down no later than 7:30 p.m. per the OCFA
  • Observe the "No admittance” fencing around the Fireworks Zone
  • All personal items must be removed immediately following the Fireworks show, any items left behind will be discarded.
  • Please help us keep Founders Park clean by removing all of your trash as you leave the park by utilizing the Waste Management trash boxes throughout the park.
