Residents are encouraged to plan ahead for this project, which will impact access to homes on weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
5 Things You Should Know and Prepare for:
1) TEMPORARY INCONVENIENCE
Although this work may cause some brief inconveniences, preserving and extending the life of the parking and driving areas in your neighborhood is necessary. Reference: Announcement: Covenant Hills Asphalt Reconstruction Project.
2) KEEP THE STREETS CLEAR
All vehicles must be removed from the streets and parking bays by 7:00 a.m. From 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., there will be no vehicle or street access. Vehicles not removed by 7:00 a.m. during these dates will be subject to towing at the owner’s expense. Please refer to the Parking Cheat Sheet, which lists alternate parking locations by zone. Fire lane regulations will be strictly enforced, and vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense.
3) WHAT TO EXPECT
Although the scope of work for each zone is different, Premier Paving work crews, machinery, and dump trucks will be in and out of the community for most of the day. If you park your car in your garage or driveway, you cannot leave between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. when the work is in progress. Although vehicle access is permitted before 7:00 a.m. and after 5:00 p.m., the streets will be unpaved (e.g., dirt, dust, rough surface, and below grade - up to a 4" vertical drop in some areas) while the reconstruction work is being done. Use extreme caution when driving on the unpaved and uneven surface or consider avoiding the zone altogether.
4) PREPARE: YOUR PART
Since street access is unavailable from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on scheduled workdays, please notify any guests, contractors, gardeners, babysitters, house cleaners, and others who may be impacted. If necessary, consider rescheduling visits due to restricted vehicle access. These street closures will also impact deliveries. Check LARMAC FAQs for information about the delivery of U.S. mail, trash, recycling pick up, and street sweeping. Also, plan your parking situation in advance. Here are some suggestions for where parking may be available for each zone.
5) RESPECT THE BARRIERS & USE OF CAUTION
Please do not drive into or on any areas with the street closure barricades and construction signs. Barricades indicate that work is in progress. Driving or walking on fresh asphalt can significantly damage the street and cause the black tar-like substance to adhere to your car tires or shoes and track onto driveways, sidewalks, inside homes, etc. We recommend keeping roaming pets inside and monitoring young children outside. LARMAC and Premier Paving will not be held responsible for any damage caused by carelessness or not adhering to these guidelines.
Residents responsible for damage during the process will be liable for all repair costs. This includes damage caused by turning wheels sharply on the fresh asphalt.

1) Know when work is scheduled that impacts access to and from your home.
2) Plan and arrange your parking situation; don't wait until the night before work commences. See your options for parking.
3) Notify anyone who may visit your home: nannies, landscapers, workers, friends, etc. If you have an appointment, plan accordingly.
