JOHNNY DEVECKA
Ever since he was a young child, Johnny loved making small home movies and taking photographs. That passion continues today and, as a 15-year-old honor student, he is dedicated to photography and video production. He recently started a photography business – JLD Photography. Johnny is a member of the National Honor Society and California Scholarship Federation and he volunteers with the James Henry Ransom Foundation.

Q: What have the changes and social restrictions over the past year been like for you?
Johnny: These past 10 months have been difficult and full of challenges, but I've always tried to make the best of the time I've been given. Towards the end of summer last year, I joined the James Henry Ransom Foundation (JHRF). I have also tried to remain active in giving back to the community through school clubs and other organizations. My latest endeavor is starting JLD Photography – a photography and video production business.
Q: What are your favorite things/subjects to photograph?
Johnny: My favorite types of photos to capture require long exposures; also landscapes and macro (close-up) pictures. I enjoy photography because it allows us to capture life's best moments, and it’s a way to tell a story through the lens of a camera.
Q: When it comes to business, what have you learned from your dad (CEO, Singtrix)?
Johnny: One of the most valuable lessons I've learned from my father and other entrepreneurs is that it is important to have a positive mindset in life, and that achieving success in business takes an abundance of hard work and perseverance.
Q: What services do you offer that your neighbors should consider hiring you for?
Johnny: Through JLD Photography I offer my video production services, product photo shoots, and photo editing. I plan offer portraits as well.
Q: What was it like producing a video for your dad's company, Singtrix?
Johnny: Creating and producing content for Singtrix has been a very rewarding experience. It has provided me with practical, real-world experience and has taught me a lot about business.
